Fantastic to use on the kindle, searchable dictionary is very useful and well implemented The pronunciation guide is useful but you really need to hear some native speakers to ensure you use correct tones If all else fails you can show the relevant page to a Thai and they can read what you want to say.Great price and covers all the standard tourist scenarios as well as other situations useful for anyone travelling in the country or an expat.

the only problem with it, is that the Thai characters will not magnify on my kindle so, I am having to look through the magnifying glass to read the character this is annoying.

Bought this to be able to communicate in Thailand Useful as far as it goes but found the dictionary part too limited to enable conversation.

I have to use the search facility on the kindle home screen and search for thai for this book to appearbefore I can access it I have searched for a couple of words, and they haven t been in the dictionary So not a good book overall.

My main complaint is that there is an established system of marking the tones in Thai, but this book doesn t use it It also inserts R s when the proper pronunciation doesn t call for an R, such as the first one in korb kun krap or ka for thank you The phrases provided are comprehensive, so credit due for that, but I wish the pronunciation system had conformed.
