Quintessential book and guide to culture and leadership I can t speak to previous editions, but this one is great This book reminds me of someone who has a word of the day calendar and likes to smash all the words into one sentence I found this book to be a horrible learning tool and wish people would stop praising someone from the 70 s when there are much better and up to date resources available The fact alone that he left adjourning out of the stages of group evolution proves to me that he is not up to date with knowledge with today s leaders. This version is missing entire chapters My professor uses the 3rd addition and this is the 5th and many many things are not included in the electronic version. Schein was the guru of organization cultures back in the 70 s In spite of advertising this book has updates it is very outdated References are drawn from scholars from the 50 s and earlier I would recommend the reader to go to HBR Classics articles or other sources that are up to date.
