What an in depth, entertaining peek behind the curtain this book is Insights into Parker Stone Lopez s creative process, endless backstage and onstage photography, and interviews with the cast and crew kept me entranced throughout I love the show, love the soundtrack, but even if I didn t, I think seeing how a show of this magnitude comes together has to be fascinating to even the layman.Well worth the price of admission much like the show itself I d recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in theater or, even so, in storytelling and writing It wouldn t hurt if you re a Parker Stone fan, either. Much like the making of book for Rent which preceded this by about 15 years or so, the anecdotes not only of Parker Stone Lopez and the other creatives but the cast make this book a must have for fans of the show The only downside to the book is that the stories by the writers and even some of the designers seem culled from other interviews they ve given rather than giving a fresh take.
